Ross Knox-Holmes has been a Blue Badge guide since 2002. He is also an experienced, qualified Secondary School Teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages.
The Blue Badge Course involved 2 years of intensive lectures and on-the job training.
Apart from fostering a keen interest in the history of Britain, guides
are trained to develop a sound knowledge of more topical issues such as
politics, economics, agriculture and education.
As a professional guide, Ross is also registered with the Institute of
Tourist Guiding which oversees and regulated standards in the profession.
Ross serves on the Executive Council of the Guild of Registered Tourist
Guides and is a member of the Association of Professional Tourist Guides.
He guides both in English, German, is fluent in French and has a basic knowledge of Dutch and Afrikaans.
